Syntronik Bully captures the iconic bass sounds of the Moog Taurus pedal-style synthesizer, including the Taurus I, II, and III variants. Whereas the sampled content provides authentic Moog Taurus sounds, the user interface intentionally expands on the original’s sound shaping capabilities. For example, the filter section allows the user to set the filter cutoff and resonance amount, but also to adjust the filter drive, mode (low-pass, high-pass, or band-pass), and choose one of the multiple included filter types. These filter models, courtesy of the Syntronik platform, emulate classic synthesizer filter designs from manufacturers like Moog, Roland, Korg, and others. The developers have also included a set of controls for adjusting the glide time, vibrato, multiple legato modes, and even a polyphonic mode.
As a package, Syntronik Bully is a great way to incorporate analog-style bass tones into your music. It provides the authentic Moog Taurus sound with a variety of presets and plenty of on-screen control for customizing the plugin’s tonal character to your liking.
